There are currently four schools in New York State that offer an accredited Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology: Bronx Community College, Medaille College, Sullivan County Community College, and Tompkins Cortland Community College. The exam covers a variety of topics related to veterinary technology, including but not limited to: animal nursing, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, pharmacology, surgical nursing, and dentistry.
New York State also requires that all licensed Veterinary Technicians complete 10 hours of continuing education every year in order to maintain their license.
